From riders, non riders, daily visitors, food/beverage vendors, event sponsors, trade display vendors, QMP core team, event volunteers and us folks at the VMX Mag team had a ball at this event. So firstly, a massive thank you to all who attended!
The track
Riders loved the new complex and in particular the natural terrain track and the vinduro loops. That was largely due to the staff at Queensland Moto Park (QMP) ably led by Ray. Nothing was too much trouble and their assistance assured that the weekend ran smoothly. Also we have to give a huge shout out to all the volunteers who helped out over that weekend. There’s no way the event would have even started let alone run as well as it did without their support.
Our visitors
Donnie and Becky Hansen, our international legend and his partner, came to the event from the USA and everyone loved having a chat and meeting “Holeshot”. Plenty of Donnie’s Australian fans will now be proudly wearing a signed VMX Mag Classic Dirt 15 t-shirt.
The food
The feedback with our coffee vendor and food vendor VUE Events Catering located at the VMX Village, was excellent. Justin had the magic touch with that meat smoker and it translated well into some mighty tasty burgers. Our event patrons also enjoyed sharing some beverages at the Bruce “Magoo” Macfarland Bar, located up on the hill while the band Grumpy Old Men were performing on Saturday night.
